FCF announces three foreign films for Fajr festival

TEHRAN, Jan. 3 (Mehr News Agency) -- On Wednesday, the Farabi Cinematic Foundation announced the names of three of the foreign works that are to be screened at the 25th Fajr International Film Festival.

Brian De Palma's "The Black Dahlia" (2006), Doug McGrath's "Infamous" (2006), and Andrew Goth's "Cold and Dark" (2005) will be competing in Iran's most prestigious film gala, which begins in Tehran on February 1.

Eight foreign troupes to compete in Fajr theater festival

TEHRAN -- Eight theater troupes from Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Russia, and China are scheduled to give performances during the 25th Fajr International Theater Festival in Tehran.

Germany and France are each sending two troupes to the event, which runs from January 8 to 18.
