Tehran, July 1, IRNA - Oman signed an agreement on import of one billion cubic feet natural gas from Iran.
Aljazeera news network said on Sunday that Oman would re-export part of the gas to the global market after refining in Oman gas refineries.
Omani minister of commerce, industries and minerals Maqbul bin Ali Sultan said the objective of the agreement was to secure gas supply to deal with the growing demand in Oman in the future.
He added that Oman and Iran study cooperation on exploration and extracting gas reserves and piping Iranian gas to Oman.
Iran's foreign assets surpass $62b
TEHRAN, June 30 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran's foreign assets witnessed an increase to more than 62 billion dollars in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20, 2007), reported Bureau of Investigation and Economic Policies of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) here Saturday.
The report posted a 30.5 percent rise in terms of value when compared to the figure of its preceding year.
