TEHRAN, July 1 (Mehr News Agency) -- The painter and photographer, Leila Pazuki invited 17 German-based artists to Iran to create installation artworks inspired by the atmosphere and environment of the country for the completion of her MA thesis.
She produced a documentary about their installation works which were on display in the Iranian Artists' Forum and she is planning to travel to Germany to screen the documentary.
The documentary consists of stories told by the artists before and after their journey to Iran and the process of completing their works of art.
Pazuki did her best to portray an authentic view of Iran and Tehran to the artists. She guided their photography in such a way that their photos would not become models and they would still need to use their own interpretation and imagination in their works.
The artists' installations were made up of devices and materials available in Iran and they were showcased in the Mirmiran and Nami Galleries and at the Entezami Hall.
She announced that this project was not sponsored by any Iranian organization or institute. She intends to take 14 Iranian artists, who are capable of reacting quickly in new circumstances, to Berlin to create artworks in a similar experience.
Leila Pazuki has held several exhibitions in Iran and abroad. Her last photo display, which is a collaborative effort, is being showcased in 12 American exhibits.
