TEHRAN, July 8 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iranian TV series "Under the Balde" has won two prizes in the RomaFictionFest, which was held from July 2 to 7. The organizers gave the Maximo Award for best director to Mohammadreza Honarmand for his IRIB production.
In addition, Parviz Parastuii won the Maximo Award for best actor.
Written by Akbar Mahluji, the series is about Mahmud (Parviz Parastuii), whose son Reza is preparing to marry the daughter of his father's lifelong friend Jafar. Everything goes well until Jafar is killed by Mahmud unintentionally.
The series was warmly received by Iranian audiences during its fall and winter broadcasts on IRIB Channel 1.
A total of 140 programs created for television competed in the RomaFictionFest.
