Tehran, July 9, IRNA - The US is sabotaging the process of purchasing 22 Boeing passenger airplanes for Iranian airlines, Director General of public relations department of Iran Air Tour airlines company said.
Mansour Hakim-Manesh told IRNA on Monday that Iran has planned to refurbish the ageing air fleet by purchasing new Boeing airplanes.
But, unfortunately the US government hindered the finalizing the contract for Iranian purchase, he added.
Hakim-Manesh said that the US is violating the international pacts and is doing against the human rights, because endangers the lives and security of Iranians by sabotaging Iranian deal with the airplane manufacturers.
The official further noted that the airplanes have been purchased from China during a hard and long process which was stopped by US government at the final stage.
The intended airplanes were manufactured in 1997 -2000 with the capacity of 170 passengers each.
