TEHRAN, July 9 (Mehr News Agency) -- A group of architecture students from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands plans to tour Iran's cities from July 8 to 29.
They hope to familiarize themselves with Iran's deep culture, ancient civilization, Islamic art, architecture, tourist centers, and natural attractions.
They plan to travel to Isfahan, Mashhad, Shiraz and other sites in Fars Province, and Kish, where they will visit Naqsh-e Jahan Square, Aali Qapu, Pasargadae, the Hafezieh, and Ferdowsi's tomb.
The architecture students also plan to visit Zanjan, Tabriz, Ardebil, Astara, and Abyaneh, a historical village near Kashan.
In addition, they will take part in a workshop at the University of Tehran and visit museums and historical buildings in the city of Tehran.
During their stay in Iran, they will study the architecture and urban planning of Tehran from various historical eras to the present and will compare Western and Eastern architecture.
The students will also prepare a report on their experiences at the end of their trip.
