Tehran, July 15, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said in Tehran Sunday a suggestion by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Mohamed ElBaradei on direct talks between Iran and the US on nuclear issues can be considered.
Hosseini made the remark while speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference.
"ElBaradei's remark should be studied with more precision. Goals of the plan should be determined," he said.
He added, "It is possible to examine aspects of the offer in future talks."
Asked whether the issue would be raised during the second round of talks between Iran and the US on Iraq or negotiations with the IAEA, the spokesman said, "It is necessary to discuss aspects of the proposal presented by ElBaradei in talks with the agency."
