Tehran, 14 July 2007 (CHN) - With gaining three silver and four bronze medals and achieving 520 scores, Iran ranked first in 16th grass- skiing world champions which was held with participation of Iran and four foreign teams in Dizin international ski resort championships.
During this champion Italy with 3 gold medals and 300 scores and Republic of Czech with one silver medal and 180 scores stood in second and third positions respectively.
According to Isa Saveh Shemshaki, head of Iran's Ski Federation, the scores of male and female competitors are adding together in grass- skiing international competitions.
In 16th session of world grass- skiing champions, international ski resort of Dizin located in northern Iran, hosted 10 skiers, 6 of which ranked first to sixth in world championships from Italy, Republic of Czech, Austria, and Switzerland.
Iran was absent in last year's grass-skiing championship was held in Italy.
