TEHRAN, July 16 (Mehr News Agency) -- The director of the Privatization Organization of Iran (POI) said here on Monday that the country is in need of 75 to 80 billion dollars of investment per year.
Gholamreza Heidari Kord-Zanganeh, who is also the deputy economic affairs and finance minister, added that Iran needs $1.3 trillion worth of foreign investment to be ranked first in the region.
Iran has low economic productivity because of the low level of per capita income, he added.
It is necessary to decrease the consumption rate from 60 million liters to 15-20 million liters per day, Ameri told the Mehr News Agency.
