Rafsanjani says Iran's Outlook Plan Falling Behind Schedule

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) - Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said here on Tuesday that the country has fallen behind in the implementation of the 20-Year Outlook Plan over the past two years.

"In the past two years, we not only made no progress but we lagged behind in implementing the (outlook) plan," Rafsanjani told a national digital job creation congress.

The issue of creating job opportunities, he noted, is a pressing need of the society and unemployment is currently one of the woes facing the country particularly among the educated stratum.

"Necessity has always propelled people to forward, and we should perceive this necessity," the EC chairman said.

Speaking on the 20-Year Outlook Plan, Rafsanjani further said like nuclear technology Iran has attached a great importance to technology information (IT) and called for more efforts in this regard.
