New York, July 19, IRNA - Iran's new Ambassador to the United Nation Mohammad Khazaei arrived in New York Wednesday. Khazaei is succeeding Mohammad-Javad Zarif who served as Iran's permanent representative to the UN since 2002.

Zarif who left New York on July 9, has earned reputation in the world of diplomacy as Iran's most competent and skilled envoy for strongly and successfully defending the nation's rights.

Khazaei was Iran's former deputy minister of economic and financial affairs.
