TEHRAN, July 22 (ISNA)-"Chaharshanbeh Souri", better known as "Fireworks Wednesday", directed by Asqar Farhadi is to be put on the curtains of Traverse city film festival.
This festival is held annually in the United States through the effort of eminent documentary director, Michael Moore.
Fireworks Wednesday before this has won the 2006 Chicago international film festival's Gold Hugo prize for best features,
the 2006 Fajr film festival Crystal Simorgh for best actress, best director and best editing and the diploma of honor for best supporting actress and the 2007 Las Palmas film festival's Golden Lady Harimaguada prize.
Asghar Farhadi's film is about the last Wednesday before the Iranian New Year, people set off fireworks following an ancient tradition. Rouhi, spending her first day at a new job, finds herself in the midst of a different kind of fireworks; a domestic dispute between her new boss and his wife.
The 3rd round of the Traverse City festival opens on July 31 and will continue till the 5th of August.
Several workshops will also be held during the festival.
