The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Association of Costume Designers, and several universities have collaborated to organize this program, TMCA curator Habibollah Sadeqi said at the press conference held at the museum on Monday.
"Over 1600 works including 875 fabric designs and 754 costume designs have been submitted to the secretariat of which 415 fabric designs and 304 costume designs have been selected for display," said the secretary of the biennial Saeid Fallahfar.
Fallahfar commented that thirteen of the designers whose works are on display are men.
Shahla Mohammadzadeh, the secretary of the policy-making council of the biennial, expressed her pleasure over the successful organization of the event and said, "We need to combine cultural and artistic values in order to meet the goals of this biennial."
Tehran Museum is located on North Kargar St., near Laleh Park.
