Iraqi authorities have stepped up security in an effort to prevent any violence as Iraqis celebrate their team's Asia Cup victory over Saudi Arabia in Jakarta.
Iraq won Sunday's match, one to zero. Fans danced in the streets of Iraq and fired gunshots into the air -- despite orders from authorities against celebratory gunfire.
Iraqi officials also imposed a vehicle ban in Baghdad and other parts of the country for the game.
Last week, car bombers in Iraq killed 50 people and wounded 130 others in crowds celebrating a semi-final victory over South Korea.
In other developments, the U.S. military says coalition forces killed eight terrorists and detained 22 other suspects during operations Sunday targeting al-Qaida across central Iraq.
The military also says two U.S. soldiers were killed Sunday during combat operations, one in eastern Baghdad and one north of the city.
