Iran-U.S. talks on Iraq still being continued

TEHRAN, July 29 (ISNA)-The Iran-U.S. talks on Iraq were still being continued at an expert level, said an informed official.

An informed Iraqi official regarding the talks held between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the U.S. on Iraq stated that these negotiations were still being continued at an expert level.

"The Iraqi Prime Minister last night in an interview gave news that these negotiations were being followed at an expert level," he said while adding, "Of course there are many news reports and rumors on this subject, but we should be vigilant and only rely and follow the true sources."

Red Cross meets Iranian kidnapped diplomats in Iraq

TEHRAN, July 30 (ISNA)-The head of the Red Cross committee in Tehran said the Red Cross within the framework of its systematic visits of detainees in Iraqi detention centers had visited the 5 Iranian kidnapped diplomats.

Katayoun Husseinnejad regarding the condition of the five kidnapped Iranian diplomats explained, the Red Cross would report any substandard situations to the detaining center officials confidentially if witnessed.

She also gave news that personal letters were exchanged between them and their families.

"Now they can be in touch with each other through mail or phone calls." She said.

Husseinnejad added "The Red Cross is prepared to facilitate connections between the kidnapped Iranians and their families; we hope they meet soon, but we do not know when this exactly might be."
