TEHRAN, June 10 (Mehr News Agency) -- Veteran Iranian director Khosro Sinaii is currently adapting his latest screenplay "Portraitist of the Blood Age" to make it appropriate for filming.

Shooting will begin in the autumn, said Sinaii, adding, "When I was writing the screenplay, I never hoped that some day I would make it into film, I wrote whatever was in my mind, so now I need to modify it."

"The rewriting is in its final stage and I hope it will soon be over so that we can begin the pre-production stage," he added.

Sinaii mentioned, "I thought that if I don't make the film now, I will never manage to make it in the future".

He continued that the pre-production stage will be time-consuming and then shooting of the film will begin in Isfahan.

Sinaii also announced that professional actors will be selected for roles in the movie.

According to Sinaii "Portraitist of the Blood Age", which will be re-titled for the film, features the life of the Safavid-era miniaturist Reza Abbasi.
