Shiraz, Fars prov, June 24, IRNA - Two earthquakes measuring 4 on the Richter scale jolted the southern part of Shiraz, Fars province, on Sunday.
According to the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quakes were registered at 16:25 and 16:55 hours local time (1255 and 1325 GMT) respectively.
The epicenter of the quakes was located at 52.42 degrees north longitude and 29.44 degrees east latitude, the report said.
There are no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
