Masumeh Jafari wins Iran's first Asian women wushu gold

TEHRAN, June 29 (Mehr News Agency) - The 14-year-old Masumeh Jafari handed Iran the first women's wushu gold in the Asian youth meet in South Korea Thursday.

The phenom stood top among 15 competitors with 9.25 points.

In men's category, Hessam Tashnizi finished runner-up, giving Iran a silver medal.

Vietnamese and Singaporean representatives stood first and third respectively.
