Iran has over 15 million mobile phone subscribers

Tehran, Mar 2, Taliya News - During the past eleven months the number of subscribers of state SIM cards has increased to 15,158,000.

According to Fars News Agency, based on TCI statistic at the end of the 48th week of the present year Tehran Province has the largest number of mobile phone subscribers with 4,854,000 lines active in the province.

Next to Tehran there are Isfahan with 1,219,000 and Fars province with over one million mobile line subscribers.

The province with the least number of mobile line subscribers is North Khorassan with 70,548 lines.

At the end of the 48th week of the current year there were also 22,324,000 active stationary phone lines throughout the country, again with most in Tehran Province with 6,782,000 lines, followed by Isfahan with 2,084,000 lines and East Azarbaijan with 1,527,000 lines.

The least stationary phone lines are installed in Kohkilouyeh & Boyer Ahmad province with over 158,000 subscribers.
