TEHRAN, Mar.3 (ISNA)-The first international cartoon museum of Iran has recently been launched in Tabriz, northeast Iran. After cartoon museums in Canada, Turkey, Bulgaria and Italy, this is the 5th specialized museum on cartoons in the world.
The two galleries of the museum represent over 70 original and selected artistic works for cartoon fans.
In the sideline of the opening ceremony, also the award winning works in the 6th edition of the Tabriz international cartoon festival dubbed "Kings" were announced.
The first award of the festival was jointly dedicated to two artists from Bulgaria and Russia plus a cash prize of one thousand Euros.
Also the second award plus a cash prize of 500 Euros was given to Bozo Stefanovic from Herzegovina.
The third award and a cash prize of 250 Euros were dedicated to the Iranian artist, Ehsan Ganji.
Also three artists from Poland, two from Azerbaijan Republic and Yugoslavia and Soda Janatirad from Tabriz, Masoud Ziaei from Isfahan and Vahid Khodayari from Ahwaz received diplomas of honor in the event.
