Soraya Amanpour is an artist with class. Every year or so, this elegant and lovely lady stages an exhibition of the fruits of her joy. Jewellery making, whether it is a modern necklace, an unusual and classy brooch or an eye catching pair of earrings, is her hobby. And she puts them together, arranges and exquisitely displays them at the gallery of her school friend Ms. Lili Golestan.
I knew that we should get there early as almost all the works are sold out on the opening night. The opening was at 4.00 p.m. and normally the gallery does not become crowded before 6 or 6.30. We got there ten past four; there were so many cars parked outside that I could not believe my eyes, and the gallery was full of people! Obviously many by now know how exquisite her works are. She only ever does one of each piece, so they remain unique.
Whenever I wear one of the few pairs of clip earrings that she has made for me, I feel tall; I am not exaggerating. They are classy, unique and chic. The works at this exhibition were rich, modern with a touch of classic and I am sure all the ladies who will wear any of them would feel proud to have some appealing works of art on them. I found the works this year more colorful and happy to me.
By the time we got there and made our choices for the presents which I wanted to buy for two of my sisters' birthdays, many of the items were sold but I managed to buy a couple which I hope they will like. I share a few photos of this lovely lady's work with you so you can draw your own conclusions.
