Tehran, March 13, IRNA - Iranian Oil Minister Kazem Vaziri-Hamaneh left Tehran for Vienna Monday night at the head of a delegation to attend the 144th session of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The session will be held at the headquarters of the OPEC Secretariat in Vienna on March 14-15.
OPEC members in the session are to discuss the current oil market situation, world prices and the organization's production policies for the next months taking into account the dip in oil demand after the cold season comes to a close.
Before the start of the session tomorrow, OPEC's ministerial committee for supervision of the oil market will hold its 62nd session presided by Vaziri-Hamaneh to discuss the production quotas of members and their commitment to the organization's production ceiling.
Oil ministers of Kuwait, Nigeria and a representative of the OPEC secretariat will participate in the session.
