The Third Annual Persian New Year Festival in Houston was held on Sunday March 25, 2007 at Jones Plaza in Downtown Houston.
More than 3000 people enjoyed the Folkloric dance performances by Vancouver Pars National Ballet and local singer Paria. The beautiful singer, Tara, was the favorite of the crowd with her second appearance at these annual festivals.
Also, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston attended the festival and recognized the Iranian-American Cultural Organization for their dedication to cultural heritage through Congressional Proclamation. She danced on the stage with the Pars dancers amid extensive cheers from the crowd.
The last performer was Kia who gave energetic and lively performance with duo dancers on his sides.
