TEHRAN - The Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran has issued permits for five foreign investment plans worth $3.019 billion from March 21 to April 21.
The projects included the production of car seat, cheese, polyethylene bag and polypropylene gunnysack, and liquefied natural gas (LNG), which are invested by France, Republic of Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, and Spain.
The figure showed a 27.2 percent rise when compared to that of its preceding year.
Metals accounted for nine percent and 12.8 percent of non-oil exports in terms of weight and value respectively in the yearlong period.
Totally 3,025,726 tons of metals were exported last year which, showing a 2.8 percent rise.
The country earned $1,100,329,000 through exports of iron and steel, indicting a 4.2 percent growth.
After iron and steel, copper ingot, copper products, and aluminum were the main metals exported in the previous year.
Talking to MNA, Majid Shamlu said Iran had participated in the phases' tender, adding that Iran is keen to cooperate with Royal Dutch company Shell on Phase 11 and with Spain's Repsol and France's Total on phases 13-14.
Iran and Thailand will increase the number of Tehran-Bangkok flights, said Iran's deputy minister of road and transportation and the head of the Iran's Civil Aviation Organization on Monday.
