TEHRAN, May 4 (Mehr News Agency) -- Over 70 foreign ambassadors, and representatives of international organizations in Iran, visited the tomb of Hafez in Shiraz on Friday.

A photograph of the group was taken in front of the tomb.

The foreign diplomats had traveled to the city in order to attend a ceremony commemorating "Shiraz Day" on May 5.

During their sojourn in Shiraz, the group will also be paying visits to several other monuments and will be meeting a number of high-ranking officials of Fars Province.

Shiraz is the provincial capital of Fars. It is also home to the tomb of the great Persian poet Sadi, the Eram Garden, Narenjestan Palace, Karim Khan Citadel, and several other monuments.
