Recently at the Mah Gallery we saw the work of two young artists from Isfahan whose work was very interesting. They were Maryam Amini and Shanita Zakerameli. The works were so diverse and as different as one could imagine.
Mr Zakerameli's paintings brought a good sense of family, nostalgia and doubts. Most of his works had exterior backgrounds and were depictions of events that happen in ordinary life. Others he had painted from other paintings or photographs, including some historical group photographs which were also interesting.
A couple of his works did really take my attention. He is very young and I am sure he will delight us in future with more intense and confident works.
The works of Ms Amini, who was a lot of fun to chat with, more than anything else showed her to be daring enough to shock and not be afraid of the "wow what is this, that" attitude of some who came to see the works while we were there.
I am sure she has great talent and I would hope that in her future exhibition she proves wrong those who may think she does not have sufficient technical skill.
We wish both these young artists from Isfahan the best of luck with their painting and look forward to seeing their future exhibitions.
Here are some samples of their works.
