Tehran, May 16, IRNA - Iranian MP Kazem Jalali said on Wednesday that no Iran-US parliamentary friendship group would be formed. Jalali also said in an exclusive interview with IRNA that it is only a rumor, raised by certain individuals with special intentions.
The MP, who is rapporteur of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Majlis, underlined that the upcoming negotiations between Iran and the US would be limited to the issue of Iraq, adding that any rush remarks and stance which do not guarantee the dignity of the Iranian nation, is considered against the national interests.
"Americans intend to hold talks with Iran because of the failure of policies being pursued by the Bush Administration in the Middle East and Iraq," he added.
"Naturally, Iran should adopt a proper stance to assure its ational interests by choosing a precise strategy during the negotiation," he said, noting, "Showing any kind of eagerness to establish relations with the US will be in contradiction with the interests of Iranians."
