TEHRAN, May.20 (ISNA)-Iranian foreign minister, Manouchehr Mottaki met and discussed regional and bilateral issues of interest with the King of Jordan. In the meeting Mottaki asserted on Iran's call for enhancement of bilateral ties.
Also referring to the latest changes in Iraq, he said that Iran's main goal in the talks was to reform the off beam policies of the U.S.
"Tehran believes and is willing to support Iraq in the three realms of nation, government, peace and security with the help of other neighboring countries," he added.
In another part of his talk, the Iranian foreign minister also noted the changes in Palestine and reiterated that the current violence and the anti human approaches of the Zionist regime had built a hard time for the Palestinians.
The crisis had made the circumstances so worse, he said, that neighboring countries could seriously decide on initiatives.
For his part, King Abdullah called for enhancement of bilateral ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Also referring to the latest changes in Palestine, he stated that the interior circumstances and geographical obstacles had brought harsh conditions on the Palestinians.
This is while Jordan asserts on a Palestinian state, he said.
"The fall of the Iraqi government is not of benefit to anyone. The country is apt to become a victim to ethnic conflicts at this point," he further stated.
The King of Jordan also stated that his country would defend regional security by all means and would not allow any country to invade a third country from Jordan's territory.
"No country benefits from plotting another crisis in the region," he said
