TEHRAN, May 20 (Mehr News Agency) -- A short film by the celebrated Iranian filmmaker Tahmineh Milani will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival on May 22. This is one of a group of films made by 12 different directors on the theme of 'world peace'. Milani who is heading for Cannes today said that the film was shot at Persepolis.
The 1.5-minute film features a number of Iranian children clad in various traditional costumes and singing a ballad.
Works by filmmakers from Italy, France, India, Egypt, and seven other countries were also shot at historical monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the Egyptian Pyramids, the Great Wall of China, and the Taj Mahal.
In addition, the movies are to be shown at the Headquarters of the United Nations and by a number of international television networks.
Producer Mohammad Nikbin, cameraman Alireza Zarrindast, and photographers Shahrokh Sakhaii and Ali Nikraftar were among the crew responsible for this film.
