Brussels, May 27, IRNA - EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana is planned to meet Iran's secretary of Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, on Thursday, EU diplomatic sources told IRNA in Brussels Sunday.

The sources did not mention the venue of the meeting.

Earlier Sunday an IRNA dispatch from Tehran quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini saying that talks between Larijani and Solana, previously slated for May 31, has been postponed.

Hosseini made the remark while speaking to domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press conference.

"Talks between Iran's secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) and Solana has been delayed upon an agreement between the two sides," he said.

He added, "The rescheduled date and venue of Solana-Larijani talks will be announced later after consultations between the two sides."
