Qajar-era medals exhibit underway in Niavaran Palace

TEHRAN, May 28 (Mehr News Agency) -- An exhibition of medals from the Qajar era is currently underway at the Ahmad Shah's Pavilion in the Niavaran Palace complex.

27 ancient medals for different awards, including 'post & telegram', 'justice', 'military and efficiency' are on display in this exhibit.

These medals are gold-plated or silver and are decorated with gems. They have been brought together from the Sahebgharanieh Palace Museum and the personal collection of Gholamreza Sahab.

The exhibit is also showcasing various kinds of silver coins belonging to the Qajar era.

The exhibit opened on May 24 and will run until June 3 at Niavaran Palace.
