275 Iranian universities, research centers connected to Fiber Optic Network

Tehran, May 28, Taliya News - Managing Director of Data Processing Technology (DATA) said in Tehran Saturday 1st and 2nd Phases of connecting country's universities to fiber-optic network is completed.

DATA Managing Director Javad Raadman added in an interview with CITNA, "Late last summer only 25 universities were connected to that network, while today there are 275 universities."

He considered the project aimed at connecting the Iranian universities to the country's fiber-optic network as one of the successful projects of the 9th Government, adding, "High amounts of money are spent to launch this project."

Raadman further emphasized, "The DATA Technology Company is now also ready to provide any bandwidth that the universities would need for them."
