Iran gasoline imports down 50%

TEHRAN, Nov. 18 (Mehr News Agency) - Gasoline imports in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21) showed a 50 percent drop when compared to the figure of same period in the previous year, said the deputy head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) here on Sunday.

Ali Hushmandi-Manesh added that Iran has imported some 2.241 million tons of the product valued at $1.472 billion in the period, while last year's figure was 4.416 million tons, costing the country $3 billion.
