Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA - The Second General Assembly of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) opened here on Monday in presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel.

Parliament speakers and representatives from 39 Asian member states are taking part in the two-day conference.

President Ahmadinejad addressed the inaugural session of the confab.

Haddad-Adel has been elected as head of the Association of Asian Parliaments.
