Iranian neurosurgeon Majid Samii to receive Chinese top award
 
TEHRAN, Sept. 30 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iranian neurosurgeon Dr. is to receive a Chinese top award from Prime Minister Wen Jiabao on Monday marking the National Day of the People's Republic of China.
 
Professor Samii was selected from among 70 candidates for his magnificent medical contributions to China.
 
The prominent Iranian neurosurgeon at the moment chairs the International Neuroscience Institute (INI) in Germany.
 
He was born in Rasht, Gilan Province, in 1937 and received his professorial degree in neurosurgery at the age of 33. 
 
Samii was elected founding president for the Congress of International Neurosurgeons (MASCIN) in early 2003.
