TEHRAN, Oct. 6 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran and France's Renault-Pars company will increase the L90 sedan production from next month, said an official here on Saturday.
France's Renault-Pars Company, one of the Europe's largest car manufacturers, performs the plan of standardizing Iran's parts manufacturers in the country, Mohammadreza Najafimanesh added.
He said that some of the producers couldn't still adapt themselves with the Renault standards which is a reason for the slow pace of production.
French company Renault-Nissan has formed a joint-venture company called Renault-Pars to produce light passenger vehicles in Iran.
The sides face no problem in collaboration, Najafimanesh noted, adding the French side's cooperation will be increased when Iranian parts manufacturers promote the quality.
Fifty-one percent of the company's shares are owned by Renault-Nissan, and the remaining 49 percent by the Automotive Industry Development Company, a concern owned by Iran's two main government-controlled carmakers, the SAIPA Group and Iran Khodro.
The first Iranian-made L90 car has finally been completed at Pars Khodro Company, an affiliate of the major carmaker, SAIPA, which together with the Middle East's largest auto manufacturer Iran Khodro will produce the budget sedan in collaboration with France's auto giant Renault.
Renault is a French vehicle manufacturer producing cars, vans, buses, tractors, and trucks. The company is well known for numerous revolutionary designs, security technologies, and motor racing.
