World's dolls and puppets on display in Tehran

TEHRAN, Oct. 6 (Mehr News Agency) -- A collection of dolls and puppets of several nations are on display in the 3rd Child, Prayer and Kindness Festival, which is being held at the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) in Tehran from October 6 to 10.

The festival is exhibiting 170 puppets and dolls from Iranian provinces and 16 foreign countries. Puppets made by veteran Iranian puppet makers Adel Bozdudeh, Bijan Nemati, and the late Kambiz Samimi are also on display.

The event will include an exhibition of Dara and Sara dolls (Iran's national dolls), an illustration of Quranic stories workshop, and filmmaking and storytelling workshops.

Special programs will be held on Universal Children's Day, which is celebrated annually in Iran on October 8.

The main branch of IIDCYA is located on Hejab Street.
