Iran-US talks will be possible when US changes approach toward Iran, president

Tehran, Oct 7, IRNA - Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that negotiations with the US will be possible when the US makes a fundamental overhaul in its approach toward Iran.

In reaction to President George W. Bush's announcement that the US is ready to hold talks with Iran if Iran overlooks its nuclear rights, President Ahmadinejad said that talks would be possible if Washington makes a fundamental shift in its approach toward Iran.

"If one party has the right to set precondition for the talks, it is Iran that must set precondition, because Iran is concerned about the US atomic bombs and the US war mongers who possess such an arsenal."

President Ahmadinejad said that it is not only Iran that has concern about the US atomic bombs, it is the concern of the entire international community as well.
