TEHRAN, Oct. 9 (Mehr News Agency) - Non-oil exports earnings amounted to 7.051 billion dollars in the first half of current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), reported the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) in Tehran Tuesday.
The exports included 15.5 million tons of various commodities and rose 7.5 and 8.6 percent in terms of weight and value respectively compared to the figures in the corresponding period in its preceding year.
Out of the whole figure, carry-on-luggage exports earned 26.6 million dollars, border markets 165 million dollars, and gas condensates 2.943 billion dollars.
The United Arab Emirates had the lion's share, importing 2.457 million tons of goods, valued at 1.13 billion dollars and registering 15.9 and 14.4 percent of the entire exports in terms of weight and value respectively.
Iraq, China, Japan, and India followed the UAE, accounting for 11.3, 8, 6, and 4.8 percent.
