Three Iranian movies line up for Boston Festival

TEHRAN, Oct. 13 (Mehr News Agency) -- Three Iranian movies are to be screened at the 14th Annual Boston Festival, which will take place at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) from November 9 to December 2.

"Red Card" by Mahnaz Afzali, "Unfinished Tales" by Purya Azarbaijani, and "10+4" by Mania Akbari will be entering the gala.

"Red Card" is a documentary based on the true story of an Iranian woman, Shahla Jahed who was found guilty of murdering the wife of her famous lover, the soccer player Nasser Mohammadkhani. She has been sentenced to death and is scheduled to be executed in the near future.

"Unfinished Tales" focuses on one night in the lives of three women -- Setareh, Manijeh and Hengameh.

"10+4" is about a woman called Mania who is suffering from cancer. It recounts the progression of the disease and shows how it ultimately affects her life. The film depicts how she finds hope at moments of utter despair.
