U.S. studio dubs Iranian hit "So Close, So Far" for world premiere

TEHRAN, Sept. 3 (Mehr News Agency) -- Reza Mirkarimi's much-acclaimed film "So Close, So Far" (2005) has recently been dubbed into English by a studio in Miami, U.S., ready for its world premiere.

The project has been financed by the Farabi Cinematic Foundation (FCF), an Iranian official institution responsible for supporting film projects and holding cinematic events.

The U.S. studio which carried out the dubbing process has not been named by the FCF.

"So Close, So Far" won the best film Simorgh at the Fajr International Film Festival, Iran's most prestigious cinematic event.

The movie focuses on the character of Mahmud Alem (Masud Rayegan), a highly successful but self-absorbed neurologist, who is shocked to discover that his 18-year-old son, whom he has long neglected, is terminally ill.
