Momeni Foundation announces Scholarship Recipients for Year 2007


With great pleasure and pride Momeni Foundation introduces its Scholarship Recipients for Year 2007. Please join us in congratulating the following students for their great achievements and admiring their continued success.
 

Award Recipients for year 2007 (Total awards = $18,500 USD)
2007 Scholastic Achievement Scholarships (Total = $4,000 USD)

Ms. Yasaman Fatemi-Booshehri - $1000 Award

Ms. Fatemi-Booshehri of Rochester, MN graduated high school with a GPA of 3.98 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Medicine at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

Ms. Negar Kahen - $1,000 Award

Ms. Kahen of Tarzana, CA graduated high school with a GPA of 4.0 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Health and Humanity at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.

Ms. Bannue (Bonnie) Kavoussi - $1000 Award

Ms. Kavoussi of San Antonio, TX graduated with a GPA of 4.0 and long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in History and Literature at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.

Mr. Mohammad Modarres - $1000 Award

Mr. Modarres of Paramus, NJ graduated with a GPA of 3.8 and long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. He will be pursuing a degree in Public Health at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.


Financial Assistance Scholarships – US Residents (Total = $9,000)

Mr. David Arash Darbandi - $750 Award

Mr. Darbandi of Tucson, AZ maintains a GPA of 3.86 at The University of Arizona where he is pursuing a degree in Pharmacy. Mr. Darbandi is receiving a scholarship for the fifth year.

Ms. Faezeh Razjouyan - $750 Award

Ms. Razjouyan of Annondale, VA attends George Washington University in Washington, DC. where she is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Ms. Razjouyan is receiving a scholarship for the second year.

Mr. Nima Salajegheh - $750 Award Mr. Nima Salajegheh of Atlanta, GA maintains a GPA of 4.0 at Georgia Institute of Technology where he is pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Salajegheh is receiving a scholarship for the third time.

Ms. Kamelia Ghazi - $750 Award

Ms. Ghazi of Berkley, CA maintains a GPA of 4.0 at University of California, Berkley where she is pursuing a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with emphasis on Immunology.

Ms. Arianna Alibabaie - $500 Award

Ms. Alibabaie of Troutdale, OR graduated high school with a GPA of 4.00 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Political Science at Willamette University in Salem, OR.

Mr. David (Omid) Attarzadeh - $500 Award

Mr. Attarzadeh of Louisville, KY maintains a GPA of 3.85 at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD where he is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Mr. Attarzadeh is receiving a scholarship for the second year.

Ms. Laleh Bahrami - $500 Award

Ms. Bahrami of Charlotte, NC maintains a GPA of 3.5 at Duke University in Durham, NC where she is pursuing a degree in Biology.

Mr. Hamid Reza Baniasadi - $500 Award

Mr. Baniasadi of Muncie, IN maintains a GPA of 3.89 at Ball State University in Muncie, IN where he is pursuing a Masters degree in Chemistry.

Ms. Susan Ghanbarpour - $500 Award

Ms. Ghanbarpour of Baltimore, MD maintains a GPA of 4.0 at John Hopkins University where she is pursuing a Doctorate degree in Public Health with emphasis in Women’s Health.

Mr. Anobel Maghsoodpour - $500 Award

Mr. Maghsoodpour of Memphis TN maintains a GPA of 3.56 at University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN where he is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.

Mr. Arman Kambeez Mohsenian - $500 Award

Mr. Mohsenian of Spokane, WA maintains a GPA of 3.06 at Eastern Washington University where he is pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy.

Ms. Sahar Nayeri - $500 Award

Ms. Nayeri of Santa Monica, CA maintains a GPA of 3.98 at UC Berkley School of Law where she is pursuing a law degree in Public Interest / Civil Rights.

Ms. Mercede Ramjerdi - $500 Award

Ms. Ramjerdi of Bolinas, CA graduated high school with a GPA of 4.00 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in General Education at College of Marin in Kentfield, CA.

Mr. Payam Riazati Keshideh - $500 Award

Mr. Riazati Keshideh of Santa Ana, CA maintains a GPA of 3.95 at Victor Valley College in Victorville, CA where he is pursuing a degree in Math & Sciences.

Ms. Pooneh Vafaee - $500 Award

Ms. Vafaee of Franklin, TN graduated high school with a GPA of 3.87 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Chemistry at Maryville College in Maryville, TN.

Ms. Stephanie Banafshe Willis - $500 Award

Ms. Willis of Plant City, FL graduated high school with a GPA of 3.88 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Chemistry at University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

Mr. Amini Baghbadorani is pursuing a degree in Commerce from University of Ottawa in Ottawa, ON - Canada.

Mr. Vaheh Amirjanians - $500 Award (ARMANIA)

Mr. Vaheh Amirjanians is pursuing a degree in Architect and Construction from Yervan State University of Architecture & Construction in Yervan, Armenia. Mr. Amirjanians is a third year recipient of our scholarship.

Mr. Varazik Amirjanians - $500 Award (UKRAINE)

Mr. Varazik Amirjanians is pursuing a Medical degree from Lugansk State Medical University in Lugansk, UKRAINE. Mr. Amirjanians is a second year recipient of our scholarship.

Ms. Jasmine Yasaman Mousavi - $500 Award (CANADA)

Ms. Mousavi is pursuing a degree in Science from University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC - Canada.

Mr. Saeed Shobeiri - $500 Award (CANADA)

Mr. Shobeiri of Montreal, QC, CANADA is pursuing a PhD degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from Concordia University – John Molson School of Business in Montreal, QC - Canada. Mr. Shobeiri is a third year recipient of our scholarship.

Ms. Behnaz Bolhassani - $500 Award (IRAN)

Ms. Bolhassani is pursuing a degree in English Language Translation from Payam-e-Noor University in Damavand, Iran. Ms. Bolhassani is a second year recipient of our scholarship.

Mr. Farshid Bolhassani - $500 Award (IRAN)

Mr. Bolhassani is pursuing a degree in Physical Education Azad University in Varamin, Iran.

Mr. Arman Eshraghi - $500 Award (IRAN)

Mr. Eshraghi is pursuing a PhD in Business Administration from Tehran University in Tehran, Iran. Mr. Eshraghi is a second year recipient of our scholarship.

Mr. Sepehr Karimi - $500 Award (IRAN)

Mr. Karimi is pursuing a degree in Chemistry from Payam-e-Noor University in Tehran, Iran.

Ms. Elaheh Khoshnevis - $500 Award (IRAN)

Ms. Khoshnevis is pursuing a PhD in Psychology from Azad University of Tehran – Markazi, in Tehran, Iran.
