Iran's Sepahan advances through AFC Champions League semi-finals, after defeating Japan's Kawasaki Forantale 5-4 in a penalty shootout.

After playing 120 minutes of another goalless draw, the teams, were forced to accept their fate in the penalty shootouts at the Kawasaki Todoroki Statdium Wednesday.

Aqili, Navid-Kia, Abollheil, Bahadorani, and Akbari found the back of the net for Sepahan in the shootout, while Hiroyuki Tanigachi missed the target for Kawasaki ending his team's run in the tournament.

Last Wednesday in Foulad Shar Stadium, Kawasaki managed to hold the Iranian squad to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the quarterfinals.
