TEHRAN,
April 6 (Mehr News Agency) -- The Assyrian Association of Tehran and its representative
office in Majlis are to pay tribute to world famous Iranian photographer
Alfred Yaghobzadeh for his great
endeavor in registering the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war scenes.
Yaghobzadeh who
was active as a photographer during the Iran-Iraq war took unforgettable photos
of the bravery of Iranian men and women.
His honoring ceremony will take place at the venue
of Ishtar Art Gallery on its opening day on April 19, displaying a selection of
Yaghobzadeh's recent works.
Yaghobzadeh began his first experience of
photography with Iran-Iraq war. He later cooperated with the Associated Press.
He has also worked as a photographer for Sipa Press of France for over two
decades.

His main photographic activities are on wartime in
Lebanon. He took pictures for 13 years amongst the Palestinians fighting against
the Zionist regime.
Yaghobzadeh also has a great experience in
portraying the traditions and religious ceremonies of over 24 countries.

He is the winner of the first grade prize of World
Press Photo. He has also won the first prize of the National Press Photographers
Association in the U.S.
In addition, Yaghobzadeh was also a member of photo
selection team in World Press Photo Festival in Netherlands in 2004.
