Our cross-country Folly of Attacking Iran Tour has paid off with the introduction of a bipartisan House resolution, H. Con. Res. 321, calling for diplomatic engagement with Iran.
The original co-sponsors include several Members of Congress we had contact with on the tour. Republican Wayne Gilchrest, who set up a Members' briefing for us on the Hill, is the main sponsor of the bill. Perhaps the most unexpected original co-sponsor is centrist Republican Tim Johnson, whose staff attended one of our events in his Illinois district.
Can you use this tool to ask your Representative to sign on as a co-sponsor of this new legislation for diplomacy with Iran?
This Administration continues to beat the drums of conflict with Iran, but we are making headway toward defusing the crisis. If this new, bipartisan bill for talks with Iran gains strength, it would put significant pressure on the Administration to curtail its policy of confrontation with Iran and pursue real diplomacy.
