Press TV -- Iran's Saipa has defeated its Iraqi rival al-Quwa al-Jawiya in the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Champions League despite playing with 10 men in the second half.
Amir Vaziri scored Saipa's only goal in the 46th minute just before the Jordanian referee announced the end of the first half.
The Iraqi side was the host but the match was held in Kuwait on Wednesday due to security situation in Iraq.
During the second half, Saipa lost one of its defenders, Majid Gholamnejad and captain Ibrahim Sadeghi had to do his job.
In another game, al-Wasl defeated al-Kuwait with one goal.
