Press TV -- Iranian Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari says the country's crude oil production has reached a record level of 4.21 million barrels.
"Iran's daily crude oil production has reached 4 million 210 thousand barrels for the first time since the Islamic Revolution," Nozari said.
According to the official, Iran exports nearly 2.5 million barrels of its crude oil and refines a total of nearly 1.7 million barrels for domestic use.
He pointed to the development of oil fields such as South Pars as the main factor that contributed to the increase.
Nozari added that Tehran plans to implement measures to encourage natural gas usage, hoping to decrease oil dependency in the country.
