TEHRAN, April 12 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran's Rudaki Orchestra, which is conducted by Arash Amini, is to give performances in Paris on May 7 and 8.
In the first part of the program, the suite "Bijan and Manijeh" composed by Hossein Dehlavi and the piece "Ahu" (deer) by Kambiz Roshanravan will be performed, Amini said, adding that the first part will end with a composition by Abolhassan Saba.
The second section will feature a piece composed by French musician André Jolivet and will continue with a solo performance of ney, which is an Iranian reed flute, he stated.
Amini noted that performances by Iranian orchestras and traditional bands have been warmly welcomed in various cities in France, adding that the French are familiar with Iranian music.
