Press TV -- Veteran Iranian writer and one of the founders of children's poetry, Parvin Dowlatabadi has died of a heart attack at the age of 84.
Dowlatabadi, who dedicated most of her life to cultural activities and writing for children, was one of the founders of Iran's Children's Book Council.
'Fire and Water', 'The Stone City', 'The Silvery Crescent', 'Sailing on Clouds' and 'Sparrow and the Toad' are among Dowlatabadi's memorable books.
Parvin Dowlatabadi studied interior photography in the UK and got her preschool teaching PhD in the United States. She started her job as a teacher when she was 18.
