TEHRAN, Apr. 21 (Mehr News Agency) -- First Iran International Zeolite Conference (IIZC'08) is to be held in Amir Kabir University(Tehran Polytechnic) from April 29 to May 1, 2008.
Coincided with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Amir Kabir University, the conference will update participants on a series of topics relating to zeolites and porous materials, science and technology, secretary of the conference R. Hallaj said.
The conference is scheduled to familiarize participants with the new synthesis techniques of zeolite molecular sieves, modification, isomorphic substitution, ziolite catalyst, adsorption, separation and diffusion, water and wastewater treatment characterization techniques as well as nano zeolites, Halllaj added.
Zeolite, economy and market, natural zeolite, resources, characterization and properties, zeolite applications for radioactive waste treatment as well as its applications in agriculture, aquaculture and animal husbandry are also among the topics, which will be discussed at the conference, Sponsored by the SPAG Zeolite R&D Co. Geological Survey of Iran.
Intellectual and scientific figures from different countries including Italy, Greece, and France are to attend the two-day event.
